| mitsu.news - www.mitsupg.com - 02 February 2008 - We have received news that the price of Lancer 2.0 GT may rise as much as RM7,500.00 and thus, MMM is offering a new specs of Lancer codename 2.0 GLS to cater for the demand of the market.
Price was set at RM 114,500.00 and while early customers may have complained that the price is not much different than the GT, yet after the price hike, many will feel that the price is just right.
According to one Sales Advisor who refused to be identified as he was not authorised to release any information to the press, they have been advising customers who refused to wait a long time for Lancer GT to consider the |

| option of taking the GLS. They also have been offering the Lancer GLS to those new customers who would buy a new Lancer GT with the an already increased price.
However, a check on a local online discussion
forum, there were some forumers who responded positively to this introduction of Lancer GLS. One forumer was quoted,
"
The GT at 116k is the introductory price for the first batch of cars, so 114.5k for the GLS is reasonable.
If you see other countries like Sg, the GLS price is comparable to the civic 2.0. So there is no way the GT's price be that low...
See it this way la, if the GLS was launched first at (RM)114.5k and the GT later at (RM)120k+, there would have been no complains and people will still be buying it since it would still be one of the cheapest 2.0 CBU around..."
We have done some homeworks on the specs and found the following difference between a GT and a GLS:
1) Rear Sport Spoiler
2) Suspension and struts
3) Leather seats
4) Brakes
5) Rims and Tyres
We have done a brief visit to most showrooms in North Malaysia and found that most of them have ample stocks of GLS. Therefore, for all those out there who would like to get a FAST Lancer, don't mind to visit a showroom close to you for a test drive.
It may be right after all.... Lancer GLS has its pros as well...
